I found out about Bumper Man from this web site in June 1999. I worked in the retail industry and never had the satisfaction of getting the rewards I am experiencing now as a Bumper Man franchisee. I knew absolutely nothing about bumpers. I was a youth pastor and I did construction and I wasn’t very good at construction. So Bumper Man came along and taught me everything I needed to know—even how to talk to my customers. They showed me the ropes and it’s been a wonderful five years!

I joined Bumper Man in July 1997. I knew nothing about the bumper repair business, nor am I a mechanic in anyway. Because of the training and repair methods I was able to get my franchise off to a great start. It was the best business decision I ever made.

I have been a Bumper Man for 14 years. I was the fourth person to purchase a Bumper Man franchise. My parents were entrepreneurs and I also wanted to own my own business. Bumper Man fit the model I was looking for in a business: The harder you work, the more money you make—it is truly up to you. Owning a Bumper Man franchise is freedom. You can drop your children off at school, go to your self-made schedule of dealerships, and when you have satisfied your goal for the day, go home and relax. There is no after-work stress, or phone calls. My Bumper Man franchise has been a blessing to my family and me. It has been everything that I was told it would be. Bumper Man has become a family.

I used to be a school teacher, sometimes working 12 hour days. I was working so much that I was missing out on my boys growing up. The thing that has made the biggest difference and been the greatest value to me—as a Bumper Man franchisee—is the ability to spend time with my boys, go to school functions, and not miss out on those things. Besides being able to produce an income for my family, I have an enormous amount of flexibility so I don’t miss out on the things in life that are really important.

Being a Bumper Man franchise owner positively impacts and contributes to the well being of my family. After working for others, I’m now working for myself and enjoying the benefits of my efforts. Every day I get to go and seek out new business and provide my customers with good, quality service. I just wish I had started this 10 years ago!
